Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
CAN I INCLUDE 2 PETS?
Yes. Our portraits can feature two pets in a single portrait. However, for the best possible portrait with both pets looking natural, below are key guidelines: Important note: Do not send a photo with both dogs in the same shot. We need separate shots taken with the following guidelines:
1. SAME ANGLE - Take both photos from about the same height and angle (e.g. both from standing height looking down, or both from ground level looking across). Try not to mix a top-down shot with a side shot.
2. SAME LIGHTING - Try to photograph both dogs in similar lighting (e.g. both in natural daylight, or both indoors with the same light source). Avoid one in bright sun and the other in dim indoor light.
3. SAME DISTANCE - Stand about the same distance from each dog when you take the photo, so they end up looking proportionate to each other in the final image.
4. SIMPLE BACKGROUND - A plain floor, rug, or background (not a busy or cluttered space) makes it much easier for us to isolate each dog cleanly.
5. LYING DOWN, FACING CAMERA - If you prefer shots with your pets laying down, have them facing the camera or at a similar angle in both shots.
Once we have both photos, we'll create a proof showing them together in their destination scene, and you'll get to review it before we move to production, just like a regular order.
CAN I INCLUDE 3 PETS?
At this time, portraits are limited to a maximum of two pets to ensure the highest level of artistic quality and detail.
CAN I USE A PHOTO OF A PET THAT HAS PASSED AWAY?
Absolutely. Many customers choose to honor a beloved companion through a custom portrait.
DO YOU ALLOW REVISIONS?
Yes. Minor revisions are included during the proof review process. We can accept up to three revisions during the proof process. Once approved, please send us an email with the word "Approved" so that we know we can move forward and create you pet's travel portrait.
HOW LONG DOES THE PRODUCTION PROCESS TAKE?
Artwork is typically created within 3–5 business days. Most completed orders arrive within approximately 1 week after shipping.
DO YOU SHIP THROUGHOUT THE UNITED STATES?
Yes. We ship to all states.
SHOULD I PHOTOGRAPH MY PET IN A CERTAIN WAY?
*CLICK HERE TO SEE PICS AND GUIDES OF THE BEST PHOTOS
Yes, five important guidelines.
First, your pet needs to be either sitting on the hind legs looking directly at the camera or phone, or lying down, again looking at the camera.
Second, make sure the camera is on eye level with the pet's eyes. That will create the most realistic final image.
Third, make sure you include the entire pet in the shot and leave some room around the pet for our retouching tools.
Forth, make sure you have good lighting on the pet's face especially. Outdoor shots generally are superior to indoor because the lighting is often better and even.
Fifth, make sure the photo is very sharp so that we can see all the charming details from eyes to the fur.
The better the photo, the better the portrait. We inspect each photo. If we feel the photo will not provide for a superior portrait, we will request a new photo be taken. NOTE: If you're unsure which photo to use, feel free to send multiple photos and we'll help select the best option.
CAN I CHANGE MY ICONIC DESTINATION AFTER ORDERING?
A destination change may be possible if we haven't begun production. Please contact us using email ASAP with the change request. If production has begun, we must stay with the original order.
